'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first important trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich is Kane's top focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
  • New contract talks could start in the upcoming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring performance continues to amaze
